Costa Navarino resort – experience

First of all, I want to apologise for not writing for so long. I have had some problems with my website but it is a long story 🙂

Some trips are definitely overdue and one of them is my trip to Greece to Costa Navarino resort. I was invited to come and see the resort and everything around it and decided to take my friend Karmen with me as I knew it will be a good trip away but also I will get some epic photos as Karmen is a very talented photographer. I guess our trip started in Venice, where we spent one day before taking our flight to Athens. In Athens, we got picked up by the driver and the drive to Costa Navarino was quite long. Almost 4 hours. We were really tired, but there was no other way of getting there since it was May and the flights weren’t open for the season.

When we arrived at the resort we were really curious to see what it looked like. It had a very calm feeling about it in the reception, so as soon as we checked in to the hotel, we were taken with a buggy to our room.

We immediately ventured out to the resort so we can see the whole area. To say it is big would be an understatement. Even though the weather wasn’t as great the first day we came, it did not stop us from enjoying our first day.

The resort itself has probably over 10 different pool areas. To be honest, I didn’t count, but from my memory, it definitely seemed that way. There were many eating and drinking areas around the rooms and the resort itself is connected to Romanos which is just a luxury extension of the Navarino itself. But I will show you that in one of my future posts.

The first day was a very pleasant day. We didn’t really have a lot of things planned, other than enjoying our stay. The cocktail bar was exactly what one needs on the first day of arrival. I was in early pregnancy then so I couldn’t drink alcohol, but the bartenders made the drinks for us to feast our eyes. It was all accompanied with macaroons and cakes made by their pastry chef.

But my favourite part of our first day was discovering our own private pool in the room. Definitely made up for everything else.

We had a short dip in the water before heading out that night to try some of the amazing food choices they had in the resort.

We finished our first day off with some delicious food from Armyra restaurant before we went to bed.
