So , you have probably heard of Dubrovnik. Home of the Game of Thrones and Star Wars. If you haven’t heard, you obviously don’t live on this planet.
In my previous post I showed you some photos from our road trip to Dubrovnik and all the beautiful landscape that we came across. But now I want to show you what I have been doing in this gorgeous city.
First thing everyone does is go to the old town and walk down stradun. Stradun is awesome but be aware that during peak season, there is a lot of tourist.
Sitting on Stradun has a charm, because you not only enjoy the beautiful architecture, but also people walking by.
Some may say Dubrovnik is very expensive, but I really don’t see a problem in that. Dubrovnik is so popular that if it was also cheap, you wouldn’t be able to sit or walk. The offer of entertainment and food is exceptional, and therefor prices are similar to London . You came on a holiday, enjoy it.
It is also really hot, so….
Walking down Stradun is nice, but walking up and down the alleyways was better. I have to admit, that i am really bad at exercising, and I am a hedonist so walking up the stairs was also a bit of a torture for me 😀
Little alleyways of #Dubrovnik 🙂 I really loved it but too many tourists! Probably not the best idea to visit Dubrovnik in peak season. #croatia #croatiafulloflife #amazing #architecture #travelphotography #travel #travelling #travelblog #travelblogger #travelbloggers #beautifuldestinations #presstrip #mediatrip #prrequest #ukbloggers
There are many awesome places to visit once you climb up to the old walls surrounding the city. There are restaurants, bars, nice views, and shade!
Coming in and out of old town was an experience in it self. One entrance is called Pile, and the other one I call Revelin because I am unsure. I love the look of Dubrovnik, it is truly one of a kind.
But the best thing about Dubrovnik is seeing it from above. I have never done the cable car thing here, and I was actually really excited. I love views, and they always look so good on Instagram 😀
When we were tired of the view, which was impossible, we were just hungry. We sat at this little restaurant on top of the hill called panorama, and continued to admire this epicness while having a meal.
Leave #Stradun alone. It's crowded and hot. Take a cable car up to the #Panorama restaurant and enjoy this epic view of #Dubrovnik! What an amazing experience! Totally worth it! Overall it was great fun, with friends and food and drinks. I got to see the other side of Dubrovnik and really appreciate why everyone loves it so much. It is not overrated as people may say. It is truly amazing.
We only stayed there shortly. 2 days, and we had to head back to Zagreb.
