When I think food, I think ”Belgrade”.
Belgrade offers such an amazing diversity in gastronomy, I am drooling as we speak. But that is not all! Belgrade is also very cheap in comparison to other European cities. Our friend Amir is from Belgrade, and just like us, he likes to challenge his taste buds. Every time we see him we experience something new.
One of the places he took us is on the river behind hotel Jugoslavija, and it is called ”druga prica” meaning ”another story’.
Not only do they serve delicious food but they also placed it in what I would call a ”perfect Instagram exterior”. Everything is a bit shabby but super cute. We sat down at the table and browsed the menu while sipping on some Honey Rakija. Honey rakija is a very famous aperitive in Serbia. You will probably never have dinner without rakija. Rakija is like life here.
He who is tired of RAKIJA is tired of LIFE.
Enjoying your time in Belgrade is easy. People are lovely, weather is nice and service is exceptional. Choices are various and settings are amazing. Belgrade really knows how to cheer people up!
Even though Belgrade is a very grey city and buildings are dated, Belgrade knows that the beauty comes from the inside. This is why you will not find an ugly interior, rude staff or have bad experiences. If they can’t sit you down in a pretty place, well be sure that you will be sitting around pretty people. Serbian women are very attractive! And I can’t complain about Serbian male charm either.
One of the reasons why I skipped visiting the monuments in Belgrade is because I have seen it all before, and once I tried the food, I knew this will be a foodie trip. I mean… just look at that food.
After having some fun with friends. And paying a ridiculous amount of £90 for 5 people who ate steaks and drank each a bottle, it is time to move on to a nice wine bar.
Our friend picked this places because it has a lovely terrace and all sorts of wines. We enjoyed the rest of our night sitting up there. Unfortunately we were so hungover from the previous night that the wine had no affect on us whatsoever. It made us sleepy.
There are many things I love about Belgrade. As a matter a fact I could see myself living there for a little while. In terms of being a European City, I can definitely claim that it is. It offers a lot of things, and you would be surprised how many foreigners live in Belgrade. Really, there is a lot of them!
I really don’t see any reason not to go to Belgrade, the nightlife is amazing, food is delicious and women are just wow! Everyone cares about everything so much and yet they are so relaxed it is almost a paradox.
I would suggest you visit some other amazing restaurants and places like ”The little bay”, ”Dudurudu”, ”Dijagonala” etc. They are so special that they will leave you begging for more.
End your night in another nice interior, and book a room at Radisson Blu Old Mill hotel. Radisson Blu Old Mill hotel in Belgrade has an amazing lobby and spacious rooms. It is really close to the centre too. Make sure you check it out when you go to Belgrade.
