This was my third time in Belgrade. I really like Belgrade. Not so much for the exterior but for the interior. Belgrade is so much cheaper then most places in Europe and also it is very famous for amazing food, service and restaurants.
I stayed this time in Old Mill hotel which a newer addition to Radisson Blu franchise. We took the room on the first floor, which was a smoking room. Charles has a smoking problem, so if there is a smoking option, we are in it. I brought my friends with me this time, to experience Belgrade, as they have actually never been there, so it was a fun friendly trip all in all.
Radisson Blu Old mill is really close to the centre, just a short cab drive away. Cab costs around 500 Serbian dinars which is something like 5 euros. I decided to take some photos of my room, but also I wanted to show you a nicer level. The suite.
To be honest, there is not much difference, except suite has the lounge area, and a view as it is higher on top. Also suite has a bath while my room only had a shower. As far as comfort goes, I believe they are both equally comfortable.
One thing I really didn’t like is that there is an abandoned building next to the hotel, and there was a lot of heavy metal bands rehearsing. So basically, forget about napping or quite time during the afternoon. However this is easily avoidable. On the other side of the hotel you can’t hear anything. I didn’t have the luxury of that, but Is fine cause I mostly spent time outside. Who goes to Belgrade and then sits in their room all day?
Some of the things I really liked were the sizes of the rooms and the lobby. The lobby is sharply divided by the old…and the new. On one side bare brick wall, on the other a very modern interior. For me , this is a Instagram opportunity. I am not very detail oriented, I just really like photogenic rooms.
Bar area is following the same aesthetics of the lobby. Really cool geometrical sitting and following a very white theme.
Old mill Is a short stroll away from the riverside. I took a walk down there and would suggest anyone who visits to go down to the bridge and catch some epic sunset.
