One night we went to Golden gai. Golden gai is a couple of small blocks of houses with super miniature bars. Some of them only fit 3 people at the bar. We were told to leave a couple of them, I guess most of the owners aren’t so keen on non Japanese speaking tourists, but we managed to find one in which we had a beer.
However, still traumatised by the the fact we got told off at the other ones, we didn’t really stick there for too long instead we decided to change location and go somewhere where the rest of confused tourists hang out.
Ironically we got kicked out off hat place as well. Apparently there is a limit of beers you can drink. Don’t ask, I didn’t either.
Has anyone watched lost in translation? Well, we decided to head to Grand Hyatt and enjoy the New York Bar while remembering some scenes from the movie.
First off all – this view!
Second – the atmosphere and the incredible jazz band.
Third everyone spoke english, and fourth we spent too much money there 😀
If I hadn’t drank 2 bottles of champagne, espresso martini’s and bell-ini’s I would have had more photos. Luckily for me I had more intelligence while I was sober so I took some .
This bar was the highlight of my visit. It was incredible and I would go to Tokyo again just for that 🙂
