Year and a half ago my friend Doris and me, left everything we had a decided to step in to the world and try make our lives better. That time we were in Copenhagen, and just 5 months after our adventure there, I moved to London and she moved in with her boyfriend. It has been a year since I have seen her. My path took me to blogging and her path took her to motherhood. Her boyfriend came to visit us since he had some business meetings so we decided to take him out to lunch. Uncertain where we will go as usual, we head over to Hampstead, a really charming neighbourhood in London, just on top of Camden. I live so close to it and I have never even knew it was there! We roamed through the streets looking for a place to eat, and it was just amazing.! This place has so much soul, it shines with character and the people that make it fit in perfectly. One small street took us to another where we stopped to admire a really nice flower window. I obviously couldn’t hold myself together so I went Instagram crazy. If i didn’t then you wouldn’t be able to see this little piece of heaven I found.
Down the lane there were some jewellery shops and art galleries, as well as a couple of cute restaurants with a ‘’shabby chick’’ exterior. Perfect for a cute romantic lunch out on the sun. I can imagine myself drinking a glass of rose with some friends, getting a sun tan…Oh! summer , hurry up already! As a matter a fact it was a cold day so I didn’t even bother to wear anything special
Just opposite of that flower shop was a small pub called ‘’the flask’’, I am not a big fan of pub food, but I was seriously starving and people were in danger of being eaten.
Having an extremely low blood pressure, last few days were not easy for me. I have real problems waking up and falling asleep, yet during the day I am fatigued as if I was exercising, and lord knows I haven’t done that in a long time. I wasn’t overly excited about anything on the menu until I saw bar snacks and ‘’BBQ board’’, I needed that! Like seriously….I needed it. So as it tends in life, I got it.
Waitress came over with food and served it on the table, and I was already camera ready.
–‘’hashtag the flask, hashtag Hampstead-‘’ she said laughing, as I was taking the picture –‘’deal!’’- I responded.
The guys were just looking embarrassed because of my photoshoot. Their lunch, my job! Work is never over when you are a blogger.
I took some pretty amazing pictures don’t you think?
We stuffed ourselves until the point of ‘’hate’’ so I went off to clear the bill, until I saw this challenge: which I kindly refused, however it would be fun to try, you get a pint in return. I wasn’t feeling very brave today. Is it even possible?
‘’The flask’’ is a real discovery for me. I loved the ambient and the energy, also the food was great and service was fast. So if you manage to stumble upon it, or if you are just looking for a nice place to chill, head over to hampstead and enjoy the flower views through the window or just their seating outside.
I said goodbye to the lovely staff, and left taking a last glimpse at ”the flask” . As we walked back up the street to our car, I captured a couple of moments along the way to show you how amazingly cute this neighbourhood is. Stunning don’t you think?
